Bill Baroniunas - Drums, Percussion

Bill started playing drums in his parent's basement at the age of 16 and he knew then that this was his real passion in life. While living on Long Island, NY, he became familiar with the bar band scene and played a variety of original music and covers in many local bars. His fondest memory is playing with his brother Rich in their band, The Executives, at the famous CBGB's located in the Bowery section of New York City. It was a great time living during the rising NYC music scene.

His playing style has changed over the years but not his love for all kinds of music. Since moving to North Carolina in 2005, Bill has renewed his love for playing the blues. When thinking about his influences, you just need to look back at his early record collection which was filled with names like the Yardbirds, BB King, Clapton, and John Mayall's Blue Breakers just to name a few. He recently played with a local group, Bad Influence, for several months while also playing at some of the local area blues jams. Now with Blue Skay Jam, he has the opportunity to expand his horizons.
